The trishaw is seen in front of shophouses where business is carried out at street level and there are living quarters on the floor above. The corner shophouse is a restaurant and next to it is a paper wholesaler. In front of the shops there are fruit stalls selling apples and oranges. Chinese and Malay women are walking on the streets.
