Studio portraits of two Japanese men in traditional dress. One is seated and has his legs crossed and holds a staff in his left hand. On his right, the other man wears a hat and carries a staff in his right hand; Yokohama, Japan. The name of the photographer/studio — Tookoku（東谷） and address — Sakaicho （横浜境町） were printed on the obverse of the plate. The reverse side includes handwritten inscription of the date that the photo was taken in Japanese.
