CreatorDorothy PelzerDescriptionThe traditional Batak house has a rectangular plan, an elevated floor supported on strong beams and pillars and a dominant pitched roof. The rice barn next to it is a smaller version of the house except that it has open sides. Note : Dorothy Pelzer was uncertain of location for DP57_4-28. However, on examination and comparison, DP57_13&14, 17-27 appear similar to DP129_12-16, 19-30 which are of the raja's palace and other houses in the museum complex in Pematang PurbaDate Original4 August 1963CountryIndonesia
