DescriptionThe Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) organized the 35th Singapore Lecture, at the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, delivered by The Hon Tony Abbott MP, sworn in as the 28th Prime Minister of Australia on 18 September 2013.

The Lecture entitled “Our Common Challenges: Strengthening Security in the Region” was held under the distinguished Chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Teo Chee Hean.

The Lecture was attended by over 900 guests including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Defence, The Honourable Andrew Robb AO MP, Australian Minister for Trade and Investment, ambassadors, senior government officials, business leaders, academics, students and members of the media.
